1. Aesthetics
Experience a "rebirth" at this Mediterranean styled and Renaissance era inspired full-service day spa conveniently located adjacent to the Town & Country Resort Hotel in San Diego. Your experience will make you feel renewed as the artistic scenery, style, and grace of the spa embrace you.

2. Ambience
Bella Tosca makes you feel as if you have stepped into the elegance of a Renaissance painting. The art, architectural design, layout of the spa, and scenery will visually comfort you and mentally take you away on a gondola ride through the Canals of Venice or into the museums of Rome and France. From the painted domed ceilings, beautiful art adorning the walls and ceilings, gorgeous domed room fountain, and beautifully lit setting of the treatment rooms, get ready to relax and ready to explore.

3. Customer service
My SpaDiva experience truly began upon being escorted and given a tour by an extra special Spa Attendant. Maggie was a wonderful surprise and everything you can ask for in a Spa Attendant. She was very gracious, and spoke to me in a very professional and respectful manner while giving me a grand tour of the spa and its various amenities. What was special about Maggie was how she authentically made me feel as if I was the most important person that has ever visited the spa and took her time ensuring I understood and was aware of all the spa had to offer. She practiced excellence in customer service and how she spoke to me, and went out of her way to ensure I had everything I needed. She also checked in with me at just the right time during the duration of my visit to see how I was enjoying my spa experience.

4. Qualified and skilled staff/Treatments
The SpaDiva selected the 80-minute Bella Tosca Relaxation Massage ($140), and that is exactly what I experienced through the very skilled hands of my masseuse, Tamara Pead. Tamara was able to tap into my body's specific needs without me having to specifically say a word, but more importantly she provided one of the most long-lasting massages I have ever had. I felt incredibly relaxed and in a state of physical and mental bliss after my massage, upon leaving the spa, throughout the evening, and throughout the next day. So, Tamara, thank you for giving me a massage that left a long-lasting impression. Spa Divas understand that having a spa experience last beyond your actual presence in the spa and throughout  the next day is definitely getting your money's worth. And we know that a Spa Diva will return when she's given a Diva experience and will often want to share the opportunity with her Diva friends.  

5. Variety of Services Offered
Bella Tosca offers a wide range of spa services and includes a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, two waiting room areas, and a fitness center, and their menu of  "Treatments at a Glance" include a variety of massages, wraps, scrubs, body treatments, facials, pedicures, manicures, and salon services. I definitely recommend a visit to their steam room after your massage or other body treatment.

 6. Diva Essentials                                   

Yes, there were clean lockers, fluffy robes, comfortable sandals, etc., however , there is an area where Bella Tosca falls a little bit short and reveals an opportunity for improvement: A Spa Diva likes and needs to experience a refreshing drink and she may desire a nibble on something delicious and healthy to enhance her experience. Unfortunately, plain, unflavored water was the only option. A Spa Diva likes to be refreshed with water flavored with a balanced and ample hint of cucumber, lime, orange, or lemon. She may also want to enjoy hot herbal tea and an array of fresh fruit, trail mix, or nuts. I only saw one very small bowl of fruit with one or two apples and maybe two oranges. More nibble options and a more inspired water selection would be much appreciated, and value-additions to the spa experience at Bella Tosca.

7. Diva Necessities                                 It's all covered, Diva... you should want for nothing during your spa experience. All the body and beauty care products and necessities a Diva needs were present and readily available at Bella Tosca, and Maggie even hunted down a few rubberbands and a shower cap for me.

8. Bonus Items                                The art inspired design of the spa, ambience, elegance, and customer service at Bella Tosca collectively are the bonus and create a unique experience worthy of a Spa Diva. You are going to want to ensure you tour the entire facility and return for future opportunities to be renewed. I also enjoyed that Bella Tosca has a spacious fitness center. I loved the ability to work out on-site before my spa experience. It truly enhances and takes your spa treatment to the next level.

9. Cleanliness
Bella Tosca met the SpaDiva's cleanliness expectations for a rating 10 out of 10.   Everything was well-stocked and ready to enjoy at any given time.

10. Final Reflection/Final Comments
